The incident, according to Metro Police, took place at approximately 6:45 p.m. on Saturday inside a pool area of an apartment building located in the 12600 block of Saxony Park Circle, just south of Taylorsville Road. When police arrived, they were informed that a male child, thought to be around ten years old, had a gunshot wound that was just grazed. The child signaled for assistance to first responders while they were with a family member.

After being brought to Norton Children’s Hospital, he is anticipated to recover. An additional male present at the scene had been shot. After providing the victim with first assistance by EMS, the victim was sent to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The reason for the shooting and the nature of the relationship, if any, between the two victims have not been established by the police. There are no suspects in their case.
