After visiting a Tennessee amusement park, a 13-year-old kid died in an automobile accident, according to his family, as reported by news organizations. The crash was reported to police about one in the morning. At a Crossville junction on Sunday, August 18, the Crossville Police Department informed WBIR. Relatives informed WVLT that Aidan Linville was returning to Sparta from a day spent at Dollywood. Aidan was with his church youth group, according to a Facebook post by his grandma, Holly Kemmerly.

The driver of a van carrying two adults and three teenagers, including Aidan, failed to stop at a blinking red light at the intersection of Highway 70, according to a crash report from the Crossville Police Department that WBIR was able to obtain. According to WBIR, the report stated that the van’s driver informed police that he didn’t see anyone approaching. After thereafter, a pickup truck struck the van, forcing it off the road, according to authorities.

Aidan and another kid in the van were sent to the Cumberland Medical Center, officials stated WBIR, but the truck driver and two other passengers claimed they were not seriously harmed. The other adolescent was slightly hurt. According to a Facebook post by family members, Aidan was taken to University of Tennessee Medical Center, where he subsequently passed away from his wounds. “That boy loved his family very much. The family stated that he enjoyed hanging out with his pals from school and the Boy Scouts, as well as his church family and youth group. “He really had a lively soul.”

Aidan’s Boy Scout troop leader in Sparta, Tyler Brandes, told McClatchy News that the adolescent assisted his father, who had lost his arm in an industrial accident. He characterized Aidan as a “typical 13-year-old boy” who enjoyed playing outside on his uncle’s farm and reading Marvel comics. Kemmerly expressed gratitude to everyone who has shown support for the family. We are grateful for all of the prayers that have been sent our way. We are a heartbroken family,” Kemmerly wrote in the post.

Ashley, Brandes’ wife, created a GoFundMe campaign to assist Aidan’s family with burial fees, medical bills, and other charges. He brought so much joy, kindness, and an adventurous attitude into the lives of so many people. The GoFundMe page for Aidan stated, “His unexpected passing has left his family heartbroken and facing many unexpected and difficult decisions.” The crash is still being looked into, according to WVLT.
