– A 13-year-old Tennessee kid who perished in an automobile accident while traveling back from Dollywood with his church group is remembered as a “bright light.” According to WVLT, police are looking into a crash that claimed the life of 13-year-old Aidan Linville as he and his church group were returning from a day at Dollywood. Crossville was the scene of the collision on Sunday, the Tennessee Highway Patrol said. On Saturday, Aidan took a group from his Sparta church to Pigeon Forge to visit Dollywood. The group got into a major car accident soon after they left to get back home. First responders and medical personnel at two hospitals attempted to save the 13-year-old, but Aidan’s injuries were too serious, according to a statement from his family. He passed away at UT.

Boy Scout Troop 128 in Sparta, of which Aidan had been a member for the previous few years, is led by Tyler Brandes. “He just had a blast, a lot of fun, enjoying the rides and being with his friends,” Brandes said. Aidan was a boisterous, gregarious adolescent who enjoyed watching Marvel movies and hanging out with his pals, according to Brandes. He went on to say that Aidan was always willing to go above and above for others, even when he was small, and this was evident in the way he interacted with his family. “His father is a single parent; he was always helping his dad with things because his dad is an amputee who lost his arm in an industrial accident,” Brandes added.
