Legendary Broncos player Gorden Tallis has taken a hard stance against Adam Reynolds following his decision to join Triple M radio, following in the footsteps of his teammate Billy Walters. This year, Walters had been a frequent guest on the morning radio show with Greg Martin, Dan Anstey, and Margaux Parker (wife of Broncos icon Corey). However, Walters resigned from his position last month when Kevin Walters, the coach, and Broncos players came under fire from former Wallabies player Martin following the team’s 41-16 Round 21 loss to the Bulldogs. Billy swore he wouldn’t go back on the show after being offended by Martin’s remarks, while Kevin’s wife called Margaux to let her know how disappointed she was.
Since then, Broncos captain Reynolds has taken Billy Walters’ spot as a frequent guest on the show. But in Tallis’ opinion, Reynolds ought to have abstained from the show as well in order to stand with Billy and Kevin.
“It was just a test (of whether Reynolds had Walters’ back),” Tallis declared on Triple M last weekend. “Billy Walters said no to coming on this station and his captain jumps straight in.
“If one of my players said no to come on to this (radio network), it’s one in, all in. That’s the problem. I wouldn’t do it. He (Reynolds) can say no. You can say no. You have to be on the same page and you have to be one in, all in.”
